Situ\u00e9 au pied de La cr\u00eate qui porte son nom, le village des \u00c9parges fut enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9truit durant la Grande Guerre.
C\u2019est en partie gr\u00e2ce au don providentiel de M. Andries Van Wezel qu\u2019il fut reconstruit et inaugur\u00e9 en 1923.<\/p>

Le buste de Maurice Genevoix<\/a> \u00e9rig\u00e9 devant la mairie rend hommage \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9crivain-combattant, auteur de \u201cCeux de 14\u201d, gri\u00e8vement bless\u00e9 aux Eparges en avril 1915.<\/p>

L'ESPACE MAURICE GENEVOIX<\/a><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Au c\u0153ur du village des \u00c9parges, \u00ab l\u2019Espace Maurice Genevoix<\/a><\/span> \u00bb se compose d\u2019une salle p\u00e9dagogique, baptis\u00e9e \u00ab Salle Le Barboux \u00bb, d\u2019un espace paysager et d\u2019un pr\u00e9au abritant une exposition permanente r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par L\u2019Esparge.
Cette exposition \u00e9voque, en textes et en images d\u2019archives, les destins crois\u00e9s de l\u2019auteur de \u00ab\u00a0Ceux de 14\u00a0\u00bb et des \u00c9parges.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Le 14 octobre 2023, \u00e0 l’occasion du centenaire de la reconstruction du village, un monument a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9rig\u00e9, pr\u00e8s de l’\u00e9glise des \u00c9parges \u00a0en hommage au g\u00e9n\u00e9reux bienfaiteur Andries Van Wezel<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

L\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Martin, b\u00e9nite par Mgr Ginisty en avril 1929, d\u00e9cor\u00e9e par le sculpteur Duilio Donzelli, renferme la chapelle des ex-voto <\/a>1914-1918. Le Calvaire en pierre, \u00e9rig\u00e9 en 1931, fut r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Duilio Donzelli.<\/a>Cet artiste Italien est l\u2019auteur de nombreux ouvrages en Meuse (sculptures et peintures d\u2019\u00e9glises, monuments aux morts, calvaires).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
